Vancouver, BC — Mitacs announced today the opening of a second round of calls for proposals for the Scotiabank Economic Resilience Research Fund (SERRF).
Supported by Scotiabank, the SERRF aims to increase the understanding of the factors that drive economic resilience in communities across Canada by underwriting undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, and post-doctorate research internships.
Scotiabank and Mitacs announced the SERRF program in January 2021. To be eligible, students attending partner colleges and universities must submit student-led research-internship proposals that focus on one of three key themes:
Each application must also be supported by a not-for-profit or charitable organization operating in Canada that will benefit from their proposed research.
