Learn MoreBlood biomarkers have been an invaluable tool in concussion research. Through their use, we have improved our knowledge on the processes that occur in the brain and body following injury and have seen promise for future implementation in a clinical setting to inform injury severity, type, and treatment responses. However, many different biomarker technologies exist, and it is not clear to what extent they may differ, or whether results derived from them can be compared. Hence, validation is needed. The purpose of the current study is to compare two different biomarker systems on their utility in concussion research.
