CBC News Vancouver: Students create robotic skin

With a background in printing technology and engineering, Globalink intern Roshan Mishra is helping to develop a first-of-its-kind soft, artificial skin that can sense touch and pressure and even detect when something — such as a finger — is approaching. The team’s ultimate goal is to take the discovery from the lab to mass production of printed skin that, beyond use on robots, can be applied to prosthetic arms to provide them with sensation.
