Vancouver, BC — The Singapore Management University (SMU) and Mitacs have signed a memorandum of understanding that enables SMU undergraduate students to participate in the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) program in Canada,
Effective between 2025 and 2030, the agreement marks the first time Mitacs has established GRI partnership in Singapore – an exciting step forward in broadening our international reach and global knowledge networks. These new connections stem from a Mitacs mission to Singapore in the summer of 2024, which helped lay the groundwork for this collaboration.
Students from SMU will work with leading Canadian researchers at Canadian post-secondary institutions on diverse projects within their areas of interest, gain valuable research experience, connect with top research talent, and enhance their skills through 12-week summer internships.
Applications for the 2026 GRI cohort will be open in the fall. For more information about Globalink programs, please visit our website.
