Learn MoreLa fabrication additive de pièces métalliques, communément appelée impression 3D, est en émergence dans plusieurs domaines (ex. : aérospatial, biomédical). Ce mode de fabrication permet l’obtention de pièces de géométries complexes qui parfois ne peuvent être produites autrement. Or, des défauts apparaissent lors de la fabrication des pièces. Non seulement la géométrie des pièces de fabrication additive peut dévier des plans d’origine, les contraintes internes, les porosités et des structures de grains métalliques allongées, peuvent diminuer les performances mécaniques de ces pièces. L’inspection par ultrasons est une technique de contrôle non destructif immédiate permettant la détection de fissures, de porosités, et d’autres défauts dans les pièces métalliques. Ce projet vise à développer des méthodologies d’inspection aux ultrasons appropriées pour la détection de porosités, de manques de fusion, et de contraintes internes dans les pièces métalliques de fabrication additive.
