Learn MorePlusieurs auteurs soulignent l’utilisation des technologies de l’information (TI) comme un outil facilitant la prise en charge de soi dans la perte d’autonomie et pouvant augmenter la qualité de vie des personnes âgées. Les TI peuvent posséder divers rôles en fonction des besoins des personnes en perte d’autonomie : (1) servir d’aide-mémoire, (2) maintenir le contact social, (3) performer les activités de la vie quotidienne et augmenter leur sentiment de sécurité. Les TI permettraient et faciliteraient le maintien et l’établissement de liaisons avec la communauté en diminuant l’effort de coordination des services. Le projet de recherche proposé consiste à évaluer les modalités de la plateforme collaborative qui permet de faire le lien entre les travailleurs autonomes et les individus en perte d’autonomie pour assurer différents services et le maintien à domicile.
