Learn MoreAs a major field of science, materials behavior plays vital role in engineering applications and various industries. Many researchers are investigating the properties of different materials to propose better and more reliable materials for different applications. Bulk metallic glasses are one of the most recent developments in material science. The aim of this research is to study the microstructural behavior of this type of materials, particularly Cu-Zr compositions that are capable of introducing some high strength and ductility characteristics. Furthermore, it is trying to propose some new mechanisms and manufacturing methods in optimizing the enhancement of mechanical properties. Focus will be on magnetron sputtering and cold rolling although microstructural analysis such as electron microscopy might be needed.
