Rogue wanted to explore a robotic solution to complement their existing software and improve the accuracy of TMS treatment.

Pamela Ovadje, a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of Windsor is the recipient of the Mitacs Postdoctoral Award for Outstanding Innovation.

Hugo Vihvelin, a master’s student in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Dalhousie University is one of two recipients of the 2015 Mitacs Master's Award for Outstanding Innovation.

Companies like Les Enduits STEF stepped in to fill the gap by developing water-tight membranes and coatings that could be applied to a house’s exterior during construction. In need of a research-based solution, the company was introduced to a postdoctoral fellow from the Université de Sherbrooke to do the job.

But while the Halifax-based startup had worked-out the mechanical design of its brace, its team knew they needed people with expertise in body movement and rehabilitation to test it. That’s where Mitacs Accelerate came in.

Han Chen, a Mechanical Engineering Masters student at McGill University, has created what amounts to a virtual factory, where new tools and equipment can be designed and tested, significantly reducing their real-world production time and creating a lot of opportunities.

Since she was a little girl, Shefali Garg has been interested in design and technology. This summer she’s exploring her passion as a Globalink Research intern at the University of Waterloo.

Mitacs Elevate alumnus Richard Beal is the recipient of the First Place, $20,000 prize of the inaugural Mitacs Entrepreneur Awards for his company, COFOVO Energy.

Mitacs Accelerate alumnus Guillaume Brault is the recipient of the second place, $15,000 prize of the inaugural Mitacs Entrepreneur Awards with co-founder Viviane Bélair for their company, Inova Source.
