The proposed project is to develop a design tool box with the cooperation R&D team in Transtex Composite, research fellow and academic supervisor. The design toolbox help the engineers in design department of Transtex Composite to design the trailer tail structure based on finite element analysis to be developed by research fellow. Therefore, this package saves time and design cost for different trailers which is added value for Transtex Composites.
The project consists in the design, development and testing of algorithms that can solve the routing and wavelength assignment problem in optical networks, for data instances with up to 100 wavelengths and few hundred nodes. Indeed, for each demand between a source and destination, it consists in determining a route, and assigning it a wavelength such that no link supports 2 routes with the same wavelength.

One approach to helping these issues that is gaining traction is participatory arts and culture activities made by and for members of Indigenous communities. By creating tools for storytelling and culture-sharing, researchers and community members are working together to empower Indigenous youth to explore their creative capacities and imagine possibilities for bright futures.
The NSERC Strategic Network for Smart Applications on Virtual Infrastructures is a five-year partnership between Canadian industry, universities, researchers, research and education (R&E) networks, and high performance computing centres to investigate the design of future application platforms that will deliver software applications of greater capability and intelligence.
Selective laser meting (SLM) is a promising additive manufacturing process that can be effectively utilized to manufacture structural components with complex geometries. Instead of removing the material, SLM adds the material selectively layer after layer using high power laser beam to form near net shape parts. Due to high cost associated with experimental development of the technology, the need for an accurate model to simulate the process is inevitable.

Having reached a crossroads in her PhD research, Renée was seeking opportunities to connect to the wider academic community. Encouraged by a colleague, Renée attended a cinq à sept hosted by Concordia’s Technoculture, Art, and Games (TAG) lab — an interdisciplinary centre for research in game studies and design, digital culture, and interactive art.

Luckily, with the help of Mitacs — a national not-for-profit organization that designs and delivers research and training programs for Canadian academics — Concordia students are being given the chance to do just this.
Organometallic reactions are important in organic synthesis and are versatile in creating new C-C bonds. In the past decade, late-transition-metal catalysis has gained increasing attention culminating in the 2010 Nobel Prize in Chemistry award for three seminal palladium catalyzed reactions. However, the commodity metal nickel is more economical and desirable than the other d10 elements, such as Pd and Pt. As chemistry is a continuously evolving science, the concepts of green chemistry and atom economy have gained attention.
