The proposed project aims to set up a chain of processing stages, from image processing to evaluation of results, that allow to extract valuable metrics from the diffusion process in the human brain by using high resolution magnetic resonance images from Imeka's dataset. In general, these metrics are useful to understand the global brain connectivity profiles and the dynamics of neuropathological processes. In particular, it will be robust to multiple sclerosis lesions and white matter hyperintensities in healthy aging and Alzheimer’s disease applications.
