Montreal, QC—Mitacs, a national not-for-profit research and training organization, and Concordia University announce a new partnership that will provide funding for international research internships for senior undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
Through the Mitacs Globalink program, 50 students at Concordia University can participate in 12- to 24-week research projects, jointly supervised by faculty at Concordia and at a partner university. One of the goals of the initiative is to co-fund specific projects in strategic research areas of interest to Concordia.
In addition, 30 students and postdocs from universities in partner countries can come to Canada to conduct research projects at Concordia. The researchers will have opportunities to refine their skills in new environments, gain cultural fluency, and expand their professional networks.
The agreement was signed by Eric Bosco, Chief Business Development and Partnerships Officer, Mitacs; and Christophe Guy, Vice-President, Research and Graduate Studies, Concordia University.
