Mitacs and the Quebec Metro High Tech Park to use R&D internships for innovation

Montreal, QC — Mitacs, a national non-profit research and training organization, and the Quebec Metro High Tech Park have partnered to provide research internships and training opportunities to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at Quebec universities.

The new initiative connects university researchers with businesses within the High Tech Park — a Quebec City-based community of more than one hundred companies and research centers — through Mitacs’ internship program. Interns apply their specialized expertise to business challenges and transfer their skills from theory to real-world application, while companies gain competitive advantages by accessing high-quality research expertise.

The partnership will facilitate the sharing of research between university researchers and industry while advancing development and innovation for the High Tech Park enterprises.
