With a fresh look and clearer value proposition, the organization affirms its commitment to bringing innovation into reach.

November 23, 2023

Vancouver, BC — Mitacs is thrilled to announce the result of an 18-month-long brand transformation journey. The Canadian not-for-profit organization is launching a new visual identity, positioning, and value proposition that makes clearer who Mitacs is and what it does.

The new brand is a result of an in-depth process into Mitacs’s purpose and value, which included consultations with key stakeholders. It reflects the organization’s commitment to bringing innovation to more people in more places across Canada and around the world.

Aligned with the Strategic Plan launched in 2021, the brand transformation prioritized accessibility from the start, ensuring that the design system is inclusive for all users.

Creating the conditions to turn new knowledge into impact

Mitacs makes investing in new knowledge easier through access to top researchers, flexible project plans, and co-investments in talent. With a workforce distributed from coast to coast to coast, and regional hubs in Vancouver, Montréal, Toronto, and Ottawa, Mitacs teams work closely with businesses, researchers, and governments to create new pathways to safer cities, better healthcare, improved products, a cleaner environment, and a more diverse and inclusive economy.

In 2024, Mitacs celebrates 25 years of driving impactful collaborations in Canada and abroad. With the new identity, the organization takes a step further in advancing inclusive innovation, translating invaluable research into commercial applications, and pairing ingenuity with breakthrough technologies. Mitacs is presenting innovation in ways that are relevant, easy to absorb, and inspiring to the entire ecosystem.

Along with the new brand, Mitacs is launching a new website, which will enhance user experience and provide valuable content to engage the community and reach a broader audience.
