Students are expected to stay in Canada for the full 12-week duration of the research internship.
Mitacs will provide students with support two days before their internship begins and two days after their internship is finished.
Depending on a student’s funding arrangement, Mitacs or the student’s country’s international partner provides funding for their flight, provides their accommodation stipend and medical insurance for the duration of their internship, plus two days before their internship start date and two days after their internship end date. Details of a student’s arrangements and actions required will be made available to them after their internship is confirmed, in February of the year of the internship.
