Each postdoctoral fellow will be monitored on a regular basis for effectiveness and attendance at professional development events and will be expected to take part in at least three mandatory, in-person retreats over a two-year period. If a fellow does not attend these mandatory events, their Mitacs award may be withdrawn. If a fellow wishes to focus their time on collaborative research without a professional development component, they should apply to our Mitacs Accelerate program.
