Masters and PhD students must hold student status at their academic institution and meet all eligibility criteria for the Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship before applying.

After their research proposal has successfully passed the research review, they will receive an email that confirms Mitacs received the partner contribution confirmation. They will also be asked to confirm their start and end dates at that time. Students should not start until they receive the email confirming that Mitacs has received the partner funds. This is necessary to be able to pay the intern on time.
